PROCESS
STEP 1
Prepare your documents
1) Passport : Current visa should allow you to stay in Thailand at least 30 more days on the day you bring it to school
2) 12 Visa photos : Wearing collared shirt and white background
3) Bank statement : With the minimum balance at 20,000 THB
STEP 2
Visit Native Language School
1) Bring your documents to school
2) Fill 2 student application forms
3) Pay the full tuition fee
4 Month Visa = 12,000 THB
9 Month Visa = 24,000 THB
9 + 7 Month Visa = 40,000 THB
(but you need to leave Thailand when you finish the first 9 months and come back to start another 7 months)
(If you take 9 Month Visa, you can extend your course with another 7 months, but you need to leave the country to renew it. This 7 Month Visa cost 20,000 THB
4) On this day, we will take you to the police station to check a criminal record which you have to pay the fee between
500 - 1,000 THB
STEP 3
Wait for 2 days for school to prepare your documents
Within 2 days, we will prepare all your documents to be ready to submit to the Ministry of Education, and you will
need to come to school 1 more time to sign your name on all the papers and get your passport back.
STEP 4
Wait for 3-4 weeks for the acceptance letter from
the Ministry of Education
This step takes around 3-4 weeks. When we receive the letter we will call you to come to school.
STEP 5
Leave Thailand
You will then collect this letter and other documents from Native Language School and leave Thailand to apply for
a Non-Immigrant Education Visa from an overseas Thai Embassy.
1) You must apply from your home country Thai Embassy if you are from China, India, Iran, Egypt and Pakistan.
2) Most nationalities can apply from any Thai Embassy such as Laos or Malaysia.
STEP 6
Come back to Thailand
Upon entering Thailand, you will have a 90-day Non- Immigrant ED Visa. You have the responsibility to submit your passsport and departure card to school within 48 hours upon arrival in Thailand.
STEP 7
Extend your visa every 90 days at the immigration without visa runs
3 weeks before the first 90-day ED Visa expires, you must inform the school when you would like to extend your visa
so we can prepare the necessary extension documents.
